At the Intersection of Art and Wine

Updated: May 17

Imagery Estate Winery is located in the city of Glen Ellen, in Northern California's Sonoma Valley. Imagery has won numerous awards, among which are, California State Winery of the Year and Best Woman Winemaker of the Year.

Imagery encourages patrons to "broaden your palate" which they help you to do by offering wines crafted from less common varietals such as Lagrein, Malbec, Primitivo and Tannat.

Each Imagery wine label features artwork commissioned by "some of the world's most notable contemporary artists."

Embedded within each label is an image of the Parthenon. Some images are easy to locate, while others require you to go on a "Where's Waldo" like hunt.

You can visit Imagery's on-site art gallery and view approximately 60 of these pieces while sipping on one of their wines from a portfolio that is both extensive and unique.

You will find some of the other 600 plus pieces of art, featuring over 400 artists, displayed on bottles of wine and other merchandise throughout the winery and store.

Come during the warm months and enjoy the beautiful vineyards and stream, a seated patio tasting, a picnic in their park, or play some bocce ball. Or, come during the colder months for an indoor wine tasting around the roaring fire.

Innovative wine, beautiful art and tranquil views make for a wonderful day, solo or with friends and family.

When you visit, be sure to ask for a taste of the White Burgundy. This blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Meunier is one of my favorites, both on its own, or paired with food.
